Our 3-year program in music production develops versatile music professionals capable of blending technical mastery with creative innovation and professional acumen. Through rigorous training in music sequencing & programming, digital audio workstations, sound design, composition, orchestration, and more, you’ll learn to create, arrange, and produce high quality musical content in a rapidly evolving media and entertainment landscape.
This program prepares you to build a sustainable career in music, directing studio sessions, leveraging emerging technologies, and implementing effective monetization strategies for diverse commercial projects such as advertising jingles, Film and TV scores, and even original music.

Semester 1
MC-1: Music Foundations: Theory and Harmony (3 credits)

Develop fluency in music notation, scales, chords, and rhythms through familiarisation, analysis and transcription. Apply music theory concepts using notation software to create accurate, professional-standard music scores. - Harmony I

MC-2: Foundations of Music Production (3 credits)

Explore the history and evolution of music recording technologies, producers, and music production styles. Apply foundational techniques in recording, analysis, and critical listening while familiarising with industry standard music production terminologies. - Physics and Applied Principles of Sound
Learn the science of acoustics and human hearing, including psychoacoustics and musical instrument acoustics. Apply sound measurement and analysis techniques to solve acoustic problems, and use your knowledge of musical instrument acoustic characteristics to enhance your music arrangements and productions.
MC-3: Musicianship Skills I (4 credits)

Strengthen pitch, rhythm, and interval recognition through listening, singing, and transcription exercises. Build systematic approaches to aural development while applying the skills gained to analyze and notate simple musical structures. - Indian Raag & Rhythmic Structures I

Build a strong base in music theory, from scales and chords to harmony and rhythm by learning to play the Piano/keyboard. Gain performance skills to understand how music works and apply them directly to your own composing, arranging and music programming. - Keyboard Techniques II

Learn the principles of MIDI, DAWs, and digital workflows, applying them to music sequencing, arranging, and editing. Build strong foundations in project organization, troubleshooting, and ergonomic practices for music programming. - Sound Engineering Fundamentals

FAQ’s
Is there any age restriction for admission?
There is no lower or upper age limit for enrolment, however you must, at minimum, have completed grade 12.
Can I do the program fully online?
This program is delivered entirely from our campus in Margao, Goa. All classes require in-person attendance, as well as any practical coursework and internships.
Do you provide placements/internships?
Students in their third year will be placed in a 3-6 month internship at a music studio/record label/other either of their choice or chosen by the institution. Opportunities to work on commercial productions as well as networking opportunities will be regularly provided.
Can I pay fees in instalments?
Fees are due either in full or on a semester basis after you are issued admission with us on a predetermined date. Limited 3 month instalment plans may be available in special circumstances. Please contact our admissions team for more information.
Are there any additional fees or costs?
The total program fee will be paid through the MSU portal. A one-time registration fee of INR 2,000 and examination fee of INR 2,500 per semester will be additionally charged.
Do you provide on-campus accommodation?
We do not provide on-campus accommodation, but can assist you with arranging a PG or rented flat depending on your budget and preferences. Reach out to our admissions team for more information.
