She is a passionate community leader with an eye for detail and has worked at the intersection of events, processes, and emerging technology for a decade.
She graduated with an MA in Music and Management in 2015 from the University of Leeds and began her career with Banyan Tree Events as a general coordinator supporting marketing and A&R while volunteering for Sofar Sounds as city lead for Bangalore and successfully reintroducing the intimate concert experience to music communities in India. Over her 6 year tenure with Sofar as the only remote employee based out of India, she set up systems and processes for fan engagement, quality assurance, scale and innovation for the curator community and represented them across company verticals.
She is a multi-hyphenate in the independent music industry as a manager and vocalist with several projects. With her varied experience across formal and informal sectors of the music and culture industries, Prarthana is actively involved in capacity building and education to influence and shape the next wave of creative entrepreneurs in India and the world.
