Program Structure
Three intensive terms I 40 Credits
Term 1 establishes foundational expertise with live sound systems, including audio monitors, PA Systems, and RF (Wireless) Technology, with a focus on Front of House and Monitor Mixing.
Students will simultaneously develop a rudimentary portfolio reflecting their skills & artistic identity:
Term 1 (13 Credits)
- LS311 – Introduction to Live Sound Systems
Learn the fundamentals of live sound setup, signal flow, and system operation. Gain hands-on experience configuring sound reinforcement equipment for live events. - LS312 – FOH & Monitor Mixing Techniques
Master FOH and monitor mixing to deliver balanced audience sound and clear artist monitoring. Develop skills in stage sound management and in-ear monitor (IEM) systems. - LS313 – RF Technology and Wireless Systems
Understand wireless audio systems, from microphones to IEMs. Learn frequency coordination and interference management for reliable live sound performance. - LS314 – PA System Engineering
Design and configure PA systems with optimal coverage and clarity. Apply tuning, EQ, and rigging techniques to engineer professional live sound setups. - CS311 – Portfolio Building Seminar I
Build a professional portfolio that reflects your skills and artistic identity. Refine your work through expert guidance, peer review, and a clear creative statement.
Term 2 builds on the foundations developed in Term 1, focusing largely on live event production, sound maintenance and troubleshooting as well audio broadcasting and streaming.
Students will also refine their portfolios with practical work and case studies:
Term 2 (12 Credits)
- LS321 – Advanced Live Sound System Design
Develop advanced system design skills with a focus on acoustics and venue analysis. Use prediction software to design and implement professional live sound setups. - LS322 – Concert Tour & Live Event Production
Learn the essentials of managing concert tours and live events, from budgeting to logistics. Gain insights into production strategies through case studies and planning exercises. - LS323 – Live Sound Troubleshooting and Maintenance Master troubleshooting techniques and routine maintenance for live sound equipment. Train to resolve issues like interference, faulty connections, and feedback in real time.
- LS324 – Live Sound for Broadcast and Streaming
Specialise in mixing audio for broadcast and streaming platforms. Learn to manage latency, synchronisation, and deliver high-quality sound for digital and live broadcasts. - CS321 – Portfolio Building Seminar II
Refine and expand your professional portfolio for specific audiences and opportunities. Gain confidence in presenting your work through case studies and tailored strategies.
Term 3 introduces creative research, blending original creative work with academic inquiry.
Students will also secure a professional placement in live sound engineering to further bolster their professional portfolio:
Term 3 (15 Credits)
- CS322 – Creative Practice Research
Engage in original creative work or research that pushes artistic and theoretical boundaries. Present your findings to peers and faculty, refining your ability to share impactful contributions. - CS332 – Industry Internship

Admissions & Eligibility
Minimum:
Grade 10 (from any board, in any specialisation)
Recommended:
Experience in live sound mixing or management is beneficial
Affinity with/ background in Mathematics and Physics

Is there any age restriction for admission?
There is no lower or upper age limit for enrolment, however you must, at minimum, have completed Grade 10.
Can I do the program fully online?
This program is delivered entirely from our campus in Margao, Goa. All classes require in-person attendance, as well as any practical coursework and internships.
Do you provide placements/internships?
Students, in their final term, will be placed in a 3 month internship with an event company/concert organiser/other live-sound-related business chosen either by the student or by the institution. Opportunities to work on commercial productions as well as networking opportunities will be regularly provided.
Can I pay fees in instalments?
Fees are due either in full or on a semester basis after you are issued admission with us on a predetermined date. Limited instalment plans may be available in special circumstances. Please contact our admissions team for more information.
