Zainab Wani, known in the electronic music scene as Zequenx, brings her multifaceted expertise to the Future School of Performing Arts. An Ableton Certified Trainer, music producer, and DJ, Zainab has been instrumental in shaping the next generation of electronic music artists.

With a career spanning over a decade, Zainab has hosted workshops and residencies for emerging artists, focusing on empowering FLINTA (Female, Lesbian, Intersex, Non-binary, Transgender, and Agender) individuals in electronic music and nightlife. Her teaching portfolio includes collaborations with organizations like Serendipity Arts Foundation, Synthfarm, and Coven Code, as well as training sessions at Goa’s 03 Studio and Bootcamp Goa.

As a performer, Zainab’s music, under the alias Zequenx, reflects her roots in psychedelic and rave culture. Her DJ sets and live performances transport listeners through uncharted sonic dimensions, blending emotive ambient textures with high-energy dancefloor beats. She has graced renowned festivals such as Far Out Left, DGTL Amsterdam, Magnetic Fields, and Boxout Weekender, earning a reputation for her dynamic artistry.

Born in Kashmir, raised in Chiang Mai and now based in Goa, Zainab’s global perspective informs her work, bridging cultural influences to redefine electronic music. Beyond her creative pursuits, she excels as a mentor, guiding aspiring artists in mastering advanced electronic music composition.
